Cong councillor booked in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: The police have booked Congress councillor Sushil Thapar alias Raju Thapar of ward number 70 and others for using derogatory remarks and preparing fake documents regarding property matter.
The case was registered on the complaint of Varinder Kumar of Shahi Mohalla, Haibowal under sections 3(1),8,9 SC/ST Act 1989 and 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC at police division number 5 after the complainant brought the matter to the notice of Ludhiana SSP.The accused prepared fake documents regarding sale agreement of a plot belonging to the complainant and also got a case registered against him on February 1, 2002 under sections 406 and 420 IPC.
The police enquiry found the case as false. The complainant maintained that the prime accused Sunil Kumar of Pavittar Nagar in connivance with Thapar and Ashwini Kumar of Rishi Nagar were involved in preparing the documents.
